The Diocese of Peterborough, in conjunction with the Christian Network for Gypsies and Travellers, is holding a ‘Road Show’
The event will draw together organisations, authorities and faith leaders/ministers that have an interest or involvement with Gypsies and Travellers in the area.
The ‘Presentation and Discussion’ format will allow those attending to learn about the different perspectives and issues, plus Q & A time and conversations with those directly involved.
Issues will include: sites and planning permission, education and health (notably mental health), youth employment, and, community inclusion and attitudes.
Whilst the prime focus will be on Gypsies and Irish Travellers, other traveller communities (Fairground, Circus, and East European Roma) will be represented.
Lunch will be provided – a donation towards the cost of the lunch would be welcomed.
Bookings will be essential, not least for catering purposes.
