Managing charity assets and resources: an overview for trustees (CC25)

Charity Commission

The majority of charitable trustees will have a responsibility for managing assets whether they are financial, buildings or resources, or a mixture of all three. The Charity Commission has published a very useful document for trustees:

“Managing charity assets and resources:  an overview for trustees (CC25)” http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/Publications/cc25.aspx

This is only available on-line not as a PDF but it does have some good direct links to other documents that have a relevance for trustees. There is a helpful glossary at the beginning. The overall layout is really clear – with a statement followed by the explanation and a useful ‘L’ symbol to indicate what it a legal requirement. It doesn’t take long to read through so you might want to pass the link on to trustees.
