Aurangzeb Khan outgoing FbRN Trustee

Staff announcements at FbRN.

It is with a heavy heart we bid farewell to our Trustee Aurangzeb Khan. He has served FbRN with his wisdom and experience for a number of years and we are sad to see him go. Aurangzeb has been working for the New Deal for Communities programme known as Bradford Trident; predominantly on Neighbourhood Management and also facilitating an interfaith forum. The forum was originally a Home office Pilot Scheme and is now a thriving locally based forum. His hope is to bring what is needed to the table to ensure our communities benefit in their entirety from the opportunity this role has created. We wish him and his family all the best. For more information on applying to be the new Muslim Trustee at FbRN, please follow the link below.

We would like to offer a warm welcome Loess-Rose Mills, our new Admin & events Intern who is the energy behind the upcoming FbRN National Conference. She is a recent graduate of Kings College London and we look forward to her valuable input!

We would also like to congratulate Riaz for his royal acknowledgement in the the New Years honours list. The list awarded Riaz a BEM (British Empire Medal) for services to interfaith understanding in Leicester. Riaz is Deputy Director at St Philip’s Centre but over the past ten years has worked with the FMO (Federation of Muslim Organisations) on a range of important projects. Riaz was one of the mentors for the VISIBLE project, as well as an FbRN special advisor and a very long time friend of the organisation.
