Redbridge Faith Forum would like to warmly invite you and your friends and colleagues to the ninth in the series of Women’s Interfaith Workshops that they have been holding in Redbridge over the last two years.
This course is rooted in Liverpool’s diverse faith community and has been upheld as a model of good practice both nationally (by inter-faith network UK) and inter-nationally (by Network for Inter-Cultural Learning)..
The overall aim of this seminar is to provide the opportunity for delegates to explore this agenda and look at how this will impact upon social issues in the West Midlands
This conference explores the findings from four cutting edge priority areas, including: faith-based volunteering, new forms of volunteering involvement, overcoming barriers to volunteering and skills-based employer supported volunteering.
The day will provide opportunities to: -
Raise awareness and deepen understanding of religious and cultural diversity
Identify appropriate sensitivities and skills
Explore key issues such as ‘identity’ and ‘belonging’
Meet people from different faith and cultural backgrounds
Islington Forum of Faiths (IFF) was established as a multifaith community partnership seeking to support local community development and the delivery of services. It is formed of a number of faith based organisations. The Forum is able to employ a part time staff member and this greatly increases the work that it is able to achieve.
